The weather in the UK is moderate and comfortable. The climate varies from one area to another. In general, the west is wetter and hotter than the east, and northern areas are noticeably cooler than southern ones. Temperature rarely reaches -15 o C in winter night and above 30 o C in the south and the west day time in the summer. Rainfall, though well-known in the world, is usually below 100mm on average.
